Description
A friend of mine took a photo of an old stone wall (medieval castle ruins or something), this summer, somewhere in the countryside, I guess... So, I decided to try to use it as a texture in 3dsmax, but since a simple wall rendering would a be bit boring, I decided to add couple of metal spheres to it, to make things more interesting...

Here some other renderings (basically the same view, but slightly different balls):

Renderer: Brazil. HDRI, GI & Caustics were used, though I didn't use HDR image as an illumination source due to pretty long rendertimes, especially with DOF.
Rendertime was about 2.5 hours.

Very nice!
How come whenever I apply a "chrome" or "steel" material to an object the outcome doesnt look like metal at all?
Is it the lighting?
and yes I have VRay.
can you explain how you did this? thanks!
